The Collective Season: Managing Full-Time Work + Side Hustling with Rachel Jimenez
Podcast Audio Only:
Rachel Jimenez is an Entrepreneur and Content Creator who worked herself out of the 9-5 through a side hustle and she's sharing her process and tips with you in this episode.
A side hustle isn't for the faint of heart, but if it's something you've thought about or maybe you're doing and feel stuck, this episode will help you find clarity and take action.
One of the first topics we discussed was determining the purpose of your side hustle - is it a fun hobby to make some extra money or is it something you want to replace your corporate income?
While some of the prep is similar, the strategy for a sustainable business is different than something you do for fun for some extra cash.
Rachel walks you through her 10-year journey of side hustles and entrepreneurship to share with you where she found success and what she had to let go of because it didn't work with her season of life or financial goals.
We unpack it all to help you figure out if having a side hustle is a good idea, the beginning steps to take, and how to harness your mindset for success.

A little bit about Rachel:
Less than 2 years ago, Rachel Jimenez was working a full-time job she wasn’t passionate about, going to school part-time, raising two young children, and struggling with postpartum depression. She was dreaming of starting a business that would allow her to earn an income passively and give her more control of her time and life so she could have more fun. So, she decided to hunker down and leverage all the tools she had discovered while studying positive organizational psychology and entrepreneurship. Once she shifted her mindset and better managed her time, she was able to easily create an Etsy business that brought in over $12,500 a month. She even juggled her business while working full-time and raising her family. Eventually, once she felt confident that her sales weren’t just a fluke, she quit my full-time job, and never looked back.
