Season 9: The Collective Season
The Collective Season: Relationships + Communication with Dr. Heather Browne
Podcast Audio Only:
We are embracing the collective in season 9 and bringing in coaches and experts to discuss topics impacting your career development and decision-making.
In this episode, Dr. Heather Browne, LMFT, presents what I consider to be a masterclass in relationships with your partner, your children, and yourself through the lens of communication. We touch on career transition, high-achieving partners, partners in crisis, and much more.
If I had to be honest, parts of this conversation made me uncomfortable because it made me dig into my own behavior with my husband and realize that there is still a lot of learning and love to communicate.
One of my favorite parts of this interview was talking about scheduling to create connection with your partner - or anyone in your life - and it helped take away the stigma that scheduling is bad. (Even when it comes to "adult yoga" )
You will walk away from this episode with so many ideas and strategies on how to strengthen your relationships in a practical way.
Main actions discussed:
- Couple's mission statement/vision
- Action and accountability through intentional conversation
- Take 5 minutes to speak together focused on foundational love (connection)
