Here are a few standout moments in this episode:
Recognize Your Accomplishments: Dr. Beckford pointed out that high achievers often forget to acknowledge their own accomplishments. It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life that we forget to give ourselves credit for all that we have achieved. Take a moment today to reflect on your own accomplishments and give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.
Break the Silence: We also discussed the importance of breaking the silence around burnout, especially for high achievers. Dr. Beckford highlighted that many high achievers, especially women, hesitate to discuss their struggles and vulnerabilities. It's crucial to create a safe space where we can openly discuss our experiences and support one another. Remember, you are not alone in your journey.
Create Change: Dr. Beckford emphasized that our current reality doesn't have to be our future. There are opportunities for change and growth, no matter where we are in life. By recognizing and addressing the signs of burnout, we can take steps toward a more fulfilling and sustainable future.
