Podcast Audio Only:
This episode is about the final phase in the control your career process and focuses on Habits. Phase 5 is about developing and maintaining sustainable habits - related to career - to help you continue your articulated definition of success moving forward.

I've learned a lot about habits over the years and most recently I've learned this - there are many different ways to get to the same destination.

Habits take time to develop and if you're someone who tends to be disciplined, you'll be able to build and maintain habits quickly. In some cases, this phase might be easy for you because you're already running a solid schedule filled with all the things you want to do.

There are a few different exercises I take clients through, but the main one I want to focus on for this episode is schedule analysis. This is the first activity you need to get through before you start the process of building new habits.

Well, we made it to the end of the Control Your Career process and my hope is that you can start this process through the actions I've outlined throughout this season. In the next and final episode of season 8, I will be answering your questions and common questions I receive about the control your career process and the program.

What's the action for this episode?
Audit your schedule and analyze it to the best of your ability. Determine what changes can be made to help you align your energy and your schedule better.

A little bit about Julia:

I started this journey in a counseling-focused master of science program where my then passion was working with college students. I spent 8 years working in higher education in various roles within university career offices helping everyone from freshmen to doctoral students to mid-career alumni to encore career alumni figure out their path in their current season of life. I spent my time coaching and creating career programs and I'm using that experience to create a career management and advancement program that is everything you need to get where you want to go.

I found my niche and passion working with new and mid-career managers who have lost their way, are in toxic environments, or who are so high-achieving they don't know where they fit in the working world. I support and respect the need for people to have a 9-5 job and I help you find your place and path in your career journey.

I'm also certified and educationally eligible to administer and interpret multiple personality and interest assessments, which I use in my coaching program.

It's important to note that I didn't wake up one day and decide to do this work. I'm highly trained in coaching and counseling, have been part of multiple career-related professional associations and I LOVE this work.

I look forward to connecting with you and helping you find success in you career, whatever that looks like for you.
