About the Podcast
Control Your Careeris built around a simple idea that professionals have more influence over their careers when they understand what they're navigating and make intentional decisions about what comes next.
The podcast explores the decisions, relationships, workplace dynamics, and external factors that shape a career over time. Some conversations focus on the individual: career growth, leadership, transitions, identity, strengths, values, or major decisions. Others look more closely at the environment around us, including hiring practices, workplace culture, organizational dynamics, AI, and changes in the labor market.
The goal is to help listeners better understand how careers actually work so they can recognize what they can influence, make more informed decisions, and take an active role in shaping what comes next.

What I'm Looking for in Guests
I'm looking for guests who can contribute to a thoughtful conversation about how people build, navigate, and make decisions about their careers. That may include career and workplace experts, researchers, organizational leaders, HR and talent professionals, authors, psychologists, business leaders, or professionals whose experiences offer a useful perspective on a larger career issue.
The strongest guests bring...
More than a personal story or an area of expertise, they bring a clear perspective, experience or evidence behind what they believe.
More than a personal story or an area of expertise, they bring a clear perspective, experience or evidence behind what they believe.
Episodes are conversational and focused on what listeners can learn from the discussion. While I'm happy to introduce your work and expertise,Control Your Career isn't primarily a promotional interview show, so applications builtmainlyaround promoting a book, business, service, or personal brand generally won't be the best fit.

I use Riverside to record and will add a link to your calendar invite in advance of the interview.
Video Ready
Please be "video ready" - however you are comfortable and want to be represented.
